Day 2 of El Cuyo Kite Fest brought a different challenge — offshore wind. While the conditions made it tough for some riders to get on the water, it definitely couldn’t keep this crew from having a good time.

Year two of the El Cuyo Kite Fest kicked off with exactly what everyone came for — racing, friends, and a beach full of good energy in El Cuyo. From early in the day the beach was buzzing as riders rigged up for the first competitions. Competitors lined up for the kite race, foil race, and wing foil race, with athletes and weekend warriors alike ready to test their speed and skills on the water. his latest photo batch from March 2–10 captures a little bit of everything that makes riding in El Cuyo so special. From young groms charging hard and learning new tricks, to experienced kiteboarders, kitesurfers, and wing foilers making the most of the conditions, the beach has been buzzing with energy.

March 1, 2026 our thermal wind has officially kicked on, filling El Cuyo Kite Beach with happy kiters and wing foilers. You could feel the energy shift as the breeze built and the water lit up with color. Kites in the sky, wings carving back and forth and that unmistakable sound of stoke echoing down the shoreline.

Santa came early this year and we couldnt be more blessed. Smiles all around at El Cuyo Kite Beach in Mexico as Santa brought us another sweet windy day. Kites sizes varying from 9m to 15m dotted the sky. While a few wingers and a wind surfer tested their skills. My guess 18-22knots.
